Introduction

The LINC® system is a machine data visibility solution. LINC® allows subscribers to monitor machine data and performance in real time, from anywhere. It provides actionable intelligence to support maintaining and improving system uptime, productivity, load quality, and cost, allowing customers to react to issues before they become problems.

LINC® for Case Erectors is available on new orders for CI-2000, CI-1000, C-2000, C-1000 machines with Siemens or Rockwell PLCs. LINC® for Stretch Wrappers is available on new orders for L-Series Automatic machines, including: RLA, SLA, SLC & QLA machines. LINC® is also included as a part of Total Care Plans and select retrofits.*

Remote Monitoring System

Our Remote Monitoring System is an integral part of Lantech’s commitment to react to issues before they become problems for our customers. Our Remote Monitoring System allows us to monitor Lantech machines in real time. Its primary goal is to provide actionable intelligence to support maintaining and improving system uptime, productivity, quality, and cost. 

Allows Customers to: 

  • See issues before they become problems through alerts and alarms 

  • Remotely monitor machine operation and performance from the web anytime, anywhere

  • Maintain load quality through wrap profile settings, analysis and change notifications

  • Identify areas of opportunity to Improve machine performance (and prevent downtime) by tracking trends and viewing time series data, including critical information such as:

    • Loads Wrapped

    • Mode Status (e.g., wrapping, blocked, starved, stopped by operator, stopped by fault)

    • Fault Summary

    • OEE, Availability, Productivity, and Quality percentages

  • Receive and respond to downtime alerts instantly and notify operators and maintenance that the machine requires attention

Allows Lantech to: 

  • Remotely monitor machine operation 

  • Reduce response time for unexpected downtime through trigger/notification system

LINC® Device

Improved Support

Data feed allows Lantech’s Technical Support Center to better understand what is happening when you call in. You may grant access to Lantech Support so they can remotely access your system’s PLC to review and/or update your system’s PLC logic program.

Purpose 

Performance feedback information is vital to our ability to anticipate problems with systems and proactively address them. Previously, the only way to access important information was directly from the HMI for L-Series systems while legacy systems did not even have the summary data tabulated. We built this system to harvest and transmit data to allow for wrapper status and performance data to be collected, displayed, and analyzed without accessing our customer’s network. The goal of the system is to significantly reduce response times, downtime, and quality problems.

This manual is intended for Lantech customers, distributors, and partners interested in LINC® (including machine operators, maintenance, and management). This product description and instruction manual will help guide the many applications and use cases of LINC®.
